The Center for Free-Electron Laser Science (CFEL) is looking for new colleagues with a PhD in physics, chemistry or a related field and with experience molecular physics, physical chemistry, laser physics, photonics, or a related field. The International Max Planck Research School for Ultrafast Imaging & Structural Dynamics (IMPRS-UFAST) is looking for excellent candidates with interests in the physics and chemistry of ultrafast phenomena to apply for PhD positions. The deadline is 6th January 2017. PhD projects start in summer/autumn 2017. More information can be found here.

UNESCO-L’ORÉAL-Förderprogramm für Wissenschaftlerinnen mit Kindern:

The Association of the Friends and Sponsors of DESY announces an award for an outstanding Ph.D. thesis based on the research program of DESY. In case of one winner the award will be 3000€, in case of two winners: 2000€ each. More information: vffd.desy.de/

i-PROGRESS: Internship Program for Young Research Scientists
The Helmholtz Alliance for Astroparticle Physics (HAP) offers scholarships for young researchers (master and PhD students according to the German university system or equivalent degree) from Germany and the countries of HAP-associated partners  - Argentina, France, The Netherlands, Russia, USA - to gain international experience in the field of astroparticle physics.

Fulbright-Stipendien:
Die Fulbright-Stipendien werden dreimal jährlich ausgeschrieben und richten sich an deutsche Doktoranden, die am Beginn ihrer Promotion stehen (im ersten oder im zweiten Promotionsjahr) und in diesem Zusammenhang einen vier-bis neunmonatigen Forschungsaufenthalt an einer amerikanischen Gastinstitution durchführen möchten.
