The courses are reserved for doctoral researchers of the PIER Helmholtz Graduate School and its coorperation partners CUI/AIM, Quantum Universe. Postdocs and PhD students from other graduate programmes on the Science Campus Bahrenfeld may also participate (upon request).
Teacher: Louise Kennedy
Dates: 8 weekly sessions from 13 September - 1 November 2022, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesdays)
At a basic level, a PhD is about developing the skills of a professional academic researcher. However, without a set syllabus to follow, how do you develop those skills? In this course, we will focus on pronunciation skills to allow you to speak more clearly and coherently in all your academic performance areas. You will explain key aspects of your research and present progress updates. Through active pronunciation practice and peer review and instructor feedback, your diction will become clearer, and you will present your work with improved levels of clarity and fluency in your second language.

Then please join us every two weeks at the DESY Language Café!
