Special features about the research group:
I am working on an interdisciplinary research topic with an innovate approach; including nanofabrication, chemistry and physics of fluidics and bio molecules, as well as plasmonics for high-resolution measurements. I like to bring the science of research labs into the application, where the whole society can benefit from the invested money. To achieve the goal, my expert supervisors provide me with fruitful discussions and guidance through the whole project. Additionally, the working labs are equipped with brand-new fabrication and characterization tools and instruments to facilitate further progress of the project at a faster pace.
I plan to submit my thesis in: Autumn 2018
This is what brought me to Hamburg/Benefits from PIER (Cooperation of DESY and Universität Hamburg):
I got a scholarship with grants to fund my travels to attend in international conferences where we exchange ideas and improve our visibility in the scientific world. The access to excellent research facilities and especially our new building (CHyN) in DESY campus, allow an easier collaboration with well-known experts in the campus. Besides, being a member of PHGS, I have access to free German courses in the evenings of Thursdays and Fridays, where I learn the language for better communication and integration. I appreciate all the helps and efforts from PHGS coordinators and their guidance for almost all aspects of my work to smoothen my work life that is the biggest part of my life now!
My plans for my career after my PhD:
I like the challenges in science and solving problems makes me feel happy. I like to continue in research and development of new methods in my scientific field. Even in a company, I like to work in a research and development section where I can contribute in challenges and bringing new ideas.
Hobbies/Outreach: walking and jogging, cooking with friends, going to the nature at the weekends
My favorite place in Hamburg: My favorite place in Hamburg is Landungsbrücken, especially at nights with harbor lights. I enjoy sitting in Alster-Jungfernstieg and relax.
