PhD student Björn Arndt wins Young Scientist Prize

Björn Arndt recently won the Student / Young Scientist Prize of the International Conference on the Structure of Surfaces (ICSOS) 2017 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. The prize carried a purse of $1.000,-.

He was awarded for his research work on surface X-ray diffraction on Magnetite (001).

Björn is currently working on his thesis in Prof. Dr. Andreas Stierle`s research team "Atomic structure and stability of oxide surfaces beyond the pressure gap".

He has been a PIER Helmholtz Graduate School member since 2014.
