PIER Career Week shifted to May-June 2020

May - June 2020

The workshops of the PIER Career Week for PhD students, originally scheduled for 30 March - 3 April, are now available online via ZOOM. The PIER Office will reach out to everyone originally registered for this event as soon as we have a new date and time available.

As a PhD student you are used to thinking about yourself as a specialist only, but in the course of your research, you have or will acquire valuable transferable skills that are highly sought after by today’s employers.

The PIER Career Week 2020 will offer in-depth training in several key skills areas that a well-rounded doctoral graduate is expected to have these days.

The four workshops are designed for PhD students at all levels, depending on the individual needs of the respective stage of your research project.

All trainers are carefully selected experts with many years of experience in teaching scientists. For details and registration see here:

• New online date for Supervision and leadership: 18-19 June 2020
New online date for Career planning: four short webinars between 29 June - 9 July 2020
• New online date for Time management: 27-28 May 2020
• New online date for Project management: 3 June 2020

For more transferable skills workshops and courses see the research and career skills section of this website. For queries, suggestions and criticism do not hesitate to contact the PIER office at graduateschool@pier-hamburg.de.
