Doctoral Researchers Online Conference

17 August 2020

The PhD representatives from DOIT are planning to host a "DESY Doctoral Researchers Online Conference" (DROC) this summer.

Did you have a conference that was cancelled this summer? Were you planning on giving a talk? If you are reading this, that’s pretty much a guarantee. Even in these times of virus and unrest, our research continues.

With most of the normal avenues gone, wouldn’t it be nice to have a place to practice your speaking skills in preparation for your defense or other high profile engagement? If you agree, then please join DOIT for the first annual DESY Doctoral Researchers Online Conference (DESY DROC).

The week of August 17th, 2020, doctoral researchers across all of DESY’s research areas will have the opportunity to digitally come together and showcase their work. You will have the chance to present your project and receive feedback in a relatively low pressure environment, while also being exposed to DESY’s wider range of scientific pursuits and presentation best practices.

Interested in participating? Please fill out this short google form. Final registration information will be provided soon.
