PIER is pleased to announce its next PIER Start-Up Workshop “Business Plan and Funding” for early stage researchers (PhD students and Postdocs), taking place on 13 December 2019 on Bahrenfeld campus.

Participants will receive an overview of the business plan and learn how they can transfer their own business ideas, Business Model Canvas or research results into this more classical framework. The business plan still is an important instrument in order to test and review business models, make and stick to strategic decisions and to share one’s own business idea with potential investors.

Writing a business plan represents a special challenge that includes rules, which entrepreneurs and business professionals need to become familiar with and follow. The participants therefore learn what is important to keep in mind when developing a business plan and review typical pitfalls.

Besides covering topics including marketing, market research, legal structures and team development, the students intensively examine various financing strategies and opportunities.

The workshop will be moderated by Andreas Voss (Concis Group!).

Date & Venue:
13 December 2019, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
