A Graduate Education Program at DESY in Cooperation with Universität Hamburg
24 August 2021, 10 am - 12:40 pm
Welcome to the future of Materials Sciences!
The format of the RACIRI Summer School is driven by scientific frontier themes and challenges in the field of materials sciences with a strong connection to the superb analytical potential at current and future research infrastructures for photons, X-rays and neutrons in the Baltic Sea region (synchrotron-radiation and free-electron-laser facilities as well as research reactors and spallation sources).
About the RACIRI Summer School
The RACIRI Summer School is a joint initiative by Russia, Sweden and Germany in the collaborative framework of the Röntgen-Angström-Cluster (RAC) and the Ioffe-Röntgen-Institute (IRI).
Speakers
The main lecture of the event is given by Professor Robert Schlögl, Managing Director at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion (MPI CEC) and Director of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society (FHI): "Sustainable hydrogen technology for a successful energy transition".
The event also includes a panel discussion on: “Large infrastructure centers and their role in fostering international cooperation and career advancement” with international panelists from Swedish, Russian and German institutions. All panelists are related to the RACIRI Summer School.
